The European Union is an attempt to revive the Roman Empire. In the Book of Daniel, chapter 2, the prophet Daniel interprets a dream of King Nebuchadnezzar. The king dreamt of a statue with a gold head, breast and arms of silver, a belly of brass and legs of iron. The feet are a mixture of iron and gold. Daniel interprets the dream to show that the statue represents the empires of the world.

In Daniel chapter 7 we get more information about these “kingdoms” and this time they are represented by beasts. The fourth beast, Rome, is the most terrible.
[Dan 7:7 KJV] 7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it [was] diverse from all the beasts that [were] before it; and it had ten horns.
This is a picture of the Roman Empire. In its second phase it will be in the form of a ten nation confederacy. Daniel chapter 7 goes on to explain how this confederacy will make war on “the saints” until the time comes when the “Ancient of Days”, who we know as Jesus, comes and establishes his rule on the earth
Daniel 7:23 and 7:24 make it clear that the ten horns come out of the fourth kingdom, Rome. A little horn arises out of the ten and this is the person we know as the “Antichrist” or the “Beast”.

Revelation chapter 17 gives us more information. In particular it talks about seven kings.
[Rev 17:10-12 KJV] 10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, [and] the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. 11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. 12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
These seven kings represent the seven controlling gentile kingdoms of world history that were never subject to almighty God. They all stem from the first which is Chaldea, the empire started by Nimrod where the Tower of Babel was constructed. The words Chaldea and Babylon are often used synonymously as they were in the same geographic location. All gentile, ungodly, empires have their roots in this original kingdom. The Tower of Babel was an affront to God as it represented man’s rebellion against Him. This continual rebellion down the ages is known as “River Babylon” or “Mystery Babylon”.

The revived Roman Empire
At the time the apostle John was writing, five kingdoms had fallen and the one that was extant was Rome. The revived Roman empire will be a ten nation confederacy coming from the old Roman culture. The Antichrist will take over this confederacy and will become the eighth and final power.
This final Antichrist will be a man controlled by Satan. There have been many antichrists throughout history. An antichrist is simply someone who is “instead of” Christ or who puts himself in the palace of Christ.
For this reason the old Reformers believed that all popes were antichrists because they regarded popes as ruling in the place of Christ. In fact the pope calls himself “Vicar of Rome” (Vicarius Christi). The word vicar is from the same root as the word vicarious, meaning “in the place of”.
The reign of the final Antichrist will be short, only seven years. You can see more about this on the website page entitled “The Time of Jacob’s Trouble”. However God has not revealed when it will take place so throughout history Satan has been trying to force antichrists upon the world scene. The original antichrist was probably Nero, the Roman emperor who mercilessly persecuted Christians. It is interesting that many empires throughout history have modelled themselves on the Roman empire, even using the title “Caesar”. For example the word “Tsar” and “Kaiser” are derived from the word “Caesar”. The word “Fascist” is derived from the Latin word “fasces”. These were wooden rods held by magistrates in ancient Rome denoting their penal power. Napoleon modelled his army on the Roman army and his armies marched under eagle banners like those of Rome.
This has been a lot of background information to demonstrate that the current European Union is simply the latest attempt to revive the old Roman empire. The restraining power of the Holy Spirit is currently holding back the rise of the Antichrist, the final world dictator. God has used various nations through history to prevent the advent of this “Man of lawlessness”.

If you are in any doubt about the Satanic origin of the EU, here are some points which illustrate that it is totally anti Christian in nature.
As we saw it the previous video it’s roots are in ancient Rome. It was actually established in 1957 by the Treaty of Rome. When the apostle John wrote the book of Revelation and describes “Babylon the great, mother of harlots and abominations on the earth” in chapter 17, he has Rome in mind.
The great harlot sits on seven mountains. Rome sits on seven hills. She is arrayed in purple and scarlet, just as roman Catholic cardinals are dressed. She is drunk with the blood of the saints, just as bible believers have been persecuted by Catholic church through the centuries. She has controlled the kings of the earth just as kings in times past have had to pay allegiance to the pope. The final verse of Revelation 17 says:
[Rev 17:18 KJV] 18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
No other city but Rome fits this description. The EU does not hide its Satanic origins. The European parliament building in Strasbourg is deliberately modelled on the Tower of Babel picture by Pieter Bruegel, the symbol of rebellion against God in the bible.

The EU takes control of sovereign nations and removes their power, never wanting to return it. The great harlot sits upon a beast with seven heads and ten horns.
[Rev 17:3 KJV] 3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
As we saw in the previous video, the beast is the revived Roman empire with ten horns, a ten nation confederacy.
These heads are the seven hills on which Rome sits and also the seven gentile empires of human history that we outlined in the previous video.
The woman on the beast is the one world religious system that rides the beast. This is the great harlot who attempts to replace the true church of believers in Jesus Christ.
Europe is named after Europa, the consort of Zeus, king of the Greek Gods. Zeus abducted Europa when disguised as a bull. For those who can understand it, Zeus is Satan, leader of the fallen angels. Europa is a corruption of the true church, the bride of Christ.

If you are still in doubt about the demonic origins of the European Union it is worth thinking about the question of where Satan has his seat. In the bible his seat is in a place called Pergamos or Pergamum. This was a city in Asia Minor where one of the churches of the Book of Revelation was established.
[Rev 2:12-13 KJV] 12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; 13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, [even] where Satan's seat [is]: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas [was] my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.
The seat was in fact an altar to Zeus (Satan) built in the second century BC. It was where Satan had established his throne at that time and was the centre of pagan worship in Asia Minor. In the nineteenth and early twentieth century german archaeologists excavated the altar and gradually reconstructed it in Berlin at the Pergamon museum. In 1930 the reconstruction was complete. Hitler’s architect Albert Speer used the altar as inspiration for his Nuremburg parade ground where the Nazis held their rallies and where Hitler made his speeches.

The Pergamon museum, the seat of Satan, remains in Berlin to this day.
One other indicator of the Satanic origin of the EU is its emblem. Twelve stars on a blue background. No one denies that this is inspired by Marian belief, the worship of Mary. Mary is often represented in blue and white with twelve stars around her head. The stars also point to astrology, the occultic study of the heavens forbidden in the bible.
The EU represents both man’s rebellion against almighty God and also Satan’s desire to be worshipped himself. As the EU becomes increasingly Godless, Satan will fill the vacuum with his own form of spirituality.
Great Britain’s destiny is to be separate from this institution. Britain’s role has always been to oppose European superpowers which are all attempts by Satan to introduce his rule on earth.

Part 3. Britain's Historical Role in Europe

To recap on the previous two parts of this series, the European Union is the revived Roman Empire and it is satanic in origin. Since the reformation and the break with Roman Catholicism, Britain looked to the oceans for its future rather than to the continent of Europe. However European wars continued as the power struggles in Europe continued. Britain has always acted as a check to any single power becoming dominant in Europe. Below is a short list of attempts to establish a European superpower that have been opposed by Great Britain since the Reformation: -
Philip II of Spain. Philip saw himself as the defender of Catholic Europe against the Protestant Reformation. He sent three separate Armadas against England, to defeat the Protestant nation, in 1588, 1596 and 1597. All three failed and the massive cost involved helped bring about the end of the Spanish Empire.
Louis XIV. Louis wanted to control Europe and was involved in three major continental wars. Britain saw its role as maintaining the balance of power in Europe and opposed any one power gaining control. Most significantly, during the War of the Spanish Succession Britain was part of the Grand Alliance which opposed France and her allies. The Battle of Blenheim in 1704 was probably the most significant victory, inflicting immense casualties on the French and destroying the myth of French invincibility.
Napoleon Bonaparte wished to dominate the whole of the European continent but was ultimately defeated at the Battle of Waterloo. It is said that one day he gathered all his top officers together around a large table. Laid across that table was a map of Europe with a big red spot on it. That spot was England. Pounding his fist on the table, Napoleon raged: "If it weren't for that red spot, I could have it all!"

Kaiser Wilhelm II was the last emperor of Germany. He wanted to establish Germany as a world power. He dismissed his chancellor Bismarck and took control of his country’s policy making. Bismarck had sought to maintain the delicate balance of power in Europe but the Kaiser embarked on a much more aggressive course of action, advancing Germany’s world power ambitions. Once again Britain took a leading role in opposing Germany’s militaristic ambitions. Britain was extremely reluctant to get involved in a European war as it only had a small professional army at the outbreak of World War 1. An ultimatum was sent to Germany in August 1914 to withdraw its army from Belgium. The ultimatum was ignored and Britain had no choice but to come into the war on the side of its allies.

Adolf Hitler wanted to establish Germany as the master race and once again tried to control the whole of Europe. Once again Britain and her allies responded and defeated his ambitions. Hitler was probably the nearest of all the antichrists to the final Antichrist or beast. He seems to have been under the control of Satan and he was fuelled by such a hatred of the Jews that he prioritised their destruction at the expense of swimming the war.

It is interesting to note that Britain has generally managed to win its wars even when unprepared and facing superior numbers. However this has only been because it is usually fighting in the right cause. When fighting in the wrong cause, such as in the American War of Independence, it has lost. In the case of Europe, Britain has always opposed European superpowers which has been the right cause. God will not allow any one power to control Europe until the final brief reign of the final Antichrist.
There was a period in the early 18th Century when the mere appearance of British “Redcoats” on the battlefield seemed to guarantee victory. I want to finish with a quote from Captain Blackadder who was an officer in the Duke of Marlborough’s army at the Battle of Blenheim. He was commentating on allied casualties.

“This victory has indeed cost a great deal of blood, especially to the English. I was always of the opinion that the English would pay for it in this country and when I consider how on all occasions we conquer yet with much blood spilt I am at a loss to know what the reason may be. Perhaps it is that our cause is good therefore God gives us succession our enterprises but that our persons are very wicked and therefore our carcases are strewed like dung on the earth in Germany.”
This is the best explanation I can find of Britain’s role in Europe. We have been a sinful nation but in regards to Europe we have been doing God’s will in opposing superpowers and therefore have had success in wars but at a terrible cost.
Part 4. Brexit was God's Plan for Britain
Britain’s destiny was never to be part of the European Union. The EU will become increasingly autocratic as it attempts to establish a European Superstate. There were many prophetic words given to the United Kingdom, prior to the Referendum on EU membership on June 23rd 2016, expressing God’s desire for Britain to leave.
Remember that at the time Britain was expected to vote “Remain”. The Prime Minister, David Cameron, only called for the referendum because he wanted Britain to remain in Europe and was afraid that the Conservative party was losing votes to Nigel Farage’s UK Independence Party (UKIP). He expected the country to vote “Remain” and consequently destroy UKIP’s raison d’etre.

Below is an extract from a prophecy given by David Noakes, a well known bible teacher. The prophecy was given in November 2015, well before the Referendum.
"I warn you now that the European institution will not repent, even though I bring disaster and destruction upon it. I urge you, O Britain still beloved by Me for the sake of your godly forefathers, come out of her, so that you may not be caught up in that same destruction, for I am even now arising in judgment to bring to nothing what she has sought to achieve. If you will separate yourself from her declared rejection of God, I will have mercy upon you and restore my hand of protection; and I will use you once again to bring light to many lost in the darkness which is now steadily increasing.
"Hear Me, O once godly nation and respond to my call, or you also will come to ruin in that same judgment of destruction. This is not my will for you, but you must choose the course which you will take. I urge you to respond to Me and choose life under my hand of discipline and protection, rather than death in the disaster which is even now coming upon Europe."

Theresa May locked in car
Amazingly, Britain voted to leave. Many could not accept it and there followed four years in which the political establishment attempted to overturn the decision of the people. David Cameron resigned as Prime Minister and, weirdly, was replaced by another Remainer, Theresa May. She fought a rearguard action against Brexit, delaying the implementation of the will of the British people. At one point she was briefly locked in her car when visiting German chancellor Angela Merkel in 2018. This prophetically showed she would be locked in her position as prime minister for a short period. Prophetess Veronika West heard these words from the Lord in December 2018:
“FEAR NOT! FOR THERESA MAY IS LOCKED IN PLACE FOR JUST A LITTLE LONGER AND THEN SHE SHALL BE REMOVED BY MY HAND”.
Despite opposition from all the major political parties, Brexit, the exit of Britain from the European Union, went ahead. Theresa May was replaced by Boris Johnson in July 2019 and Brexit was finally achieved on 31st January 2020. So far the UK is the only sovereign country to have left the EU.
I kept an eye on the prophecies that were coming up for the UK in the run up to Brexit and they were all confirming that His plan was for our nation to leave the European Union. The hand of God has moved powerfully and strategically over the destiny of the UK.
As I am writing this the country is mourning the death of Queen Elizabeth II. This event was prophesied as marking a severe change in course and direction for the nation. However Brexit has been a door of deliverance for the UK, saving us from the inevitable disaster that will overcome the EU as a result of its rejection of the gospel

Last word on this to David Hathaway who is a prophet and evangelist. He has been a faithful servant of the gospel for many decades and said this in 2018.
"God's Holy plan for this nation will prevail! We have a responsibility before God to pray for our nation: to pray for Brexit, Unity, and Reformation in the Church. I believe Brexit was an answer to prayer and a divine opportunity for this nation to turn back to God. We also need to pray powerfully for unity in government and the nation; the Bible says that a house divided against itself will fall! And most important, we need a spiritual reformation in the Church with a return to Biblical Authority, otherwise God will bypass the Church completely! Until Britain, and the Church, turn back to the Truth of the Word of God, there is no hope for this nation. Today we must bring the Gospel back to the godless heathen nation we live in!" - David Hathaway.
